A small group of Christians who were hungry for more of God began meeting in homes to pray. After much prayer the group was lead to form a church and unite as part of the Church of God denomination which is headquarted in Cleveland, Tennessee. Prayer continued to be the basis for revival and growth of the church. The church moved from a mill village house to a store building on Poole Street. God continued to bless and multiple facilities were built at the Poole Street location. Thru prayer and vision, almost 40 acres were purchased on Highway 101 and today, the church gathers together at a beautiful building at the gateway of our community. Woodruff Church of God continues to be a spirit-filled church for the entire family.
